NCCAF Week 9 Predictions:

This week I’ll be posting free pick inside of this blog entry through out the week. I recommend continuing to check back as well as staying tuned through out the day on Saturday for any potential late additions. For the 2007 season my posted free college football picks have gone 26-18 for +13.62 units. For the most part the bigger 1-3 unit plays have won and the ½ unit plays have made up the majority of the losses. Lets get right into it with the our week 9 college football predictions.

This week I put more time into breaking down games then I usually do. My NCCAF free picks managed to go 3-3 last week but we still finished down 1.19 units for the week. This was a rare losing Saturday for these picks as I’m now 25-14 (64%) for +14.61 units on the season for college football. The reason I put so much time in was not at all because I’m pressing. I’m more than thrilled with the season results so far as I’m sure are most of you following these picks. Its just that this week I had to look really deep for value after discovering most of the higher profiled games are really sharp this week. Perhaps all this craziness with big upsets is starting to give books more balanced of action. Whatever the case is unfortunately there are not many TV games on this weeks free picks.

Sportsbook.com steals from six-seven figures from their clients.

At this time Sportsbook Prop is issuing a warning regarding all Jazette Enterprises Limited owned sportsbooks including their flagship site Sportsbook.com.

Recently this group decided to go back 6 weeks and remove winnings from dozens of accounts that were won by betting correlated parlay bets. Here is an actual example of a correlated parlay which was voided.

The New England Patriots have been a nightmare for the bookies for many years, but this years Patriots are showing signs to be more than just a nightmare. They would be better compared to a Nightmare on Elm street movie where the dreams reoccur and comes to life each week. The Patriots who are 54-23 ATS (3 pushes) over there past 80 games (a streak that spans over 5 seasons) are off to a 6-0 ATS streak this year where they have not just covered but have beat the spread by a complete blow out in most games.

Coming off a solid bounce back week were we went 3-0-1 ATS on our NFL picks our record is now 18-9 on posted free NFL picks for +11.04 units of profit.

This has been a good season so far. Posted free picks are now 22-11 (66%) +15.80 units through the first 6 weeks of the college football season. This week I’ve spent a lot of time already looking into games and have 4 1 unit plays ready. The first is for tonight’s game (Wednesday) and the 2nd is for Thursday nights game. For Saturday I have the remaining 2 single unit plays as well as 3 bonus ½ unit picks posted.

Despite a tough NFL Sunday in week 5 it’s been a great season so far with the overall record on posted free NFL picks now at 15-9 for a total of 7.04 units of profit. I had a reader email me this week asking if it would be possible for me to sell him an early report on the NFL games and after thinking about it I decided I’ll just go ahead and post it here free for everyone.

I’m not sure I can do this every week but what I will attempt to do is start releasing my picks two times each week, once early in the week and once the late night / early morning before game time.

I followed up last weekends 10-1 performance with a 3-1 college football Saturday this weekend. Now it’s on to the NFL were I went 5-0 last weekend and have 6 six free picks on the board. First let me say (because I’m sure I’ll have some friends who might call me out on this) there were 2 games I bet and not post last week on the NFL so my true record was 6-1 last week. I don’t count plays I don’t recommend in my record though as it would not be fair to readers when I picked winners to count them – so know that when I reference my record it is only for free picks which I’ve posted on this blog (That is about 80% of my overall bets).

This has been a great football season so far. Those following my picks so far on this blog have went 18-10 for +12.33 units of profit (as a side note we are also 13-5 in the NFL for +9.47 units). We are now approaching the time of the season the games start to become more meaningful. We won’t see as many soft spots on the board this time of the year, but we’ll be able to better quantify our edges but working with more accurate in season data. When I first started looking at this weeks lines It was a bit scary because a lot of the plays I liked this week are going to be on the same side that I suspect a lot of the square action will be on. I’m not going to change my picks for that reason alone but I am most likely going to stick to just single unit plays this week.
