Two serious complaints were posted on forums this week about BetOnline Poker. The two posters stated that they had a combined $102,000 seized by BetOnline’s poker department. This follows up a third complaint from November 1, 2011 where a played had $11,400 sized. BetOnline accuses these players of chip dumping in separate, unrelated cases.

I’m back! Last year was a great football season and I’m planning to have just as good of a season this year. I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I will be posting my picks for free again this season. The bad news, I won’t be giving many detailed write up, at least not till deeper into the season if at all. I’ve got 5 vacations planned the over the next few months and am moving to Vegas November 1 right in the middle of these vacations. Perhaps later in the season I’ll have more time, but for now I’ll be posting just my picks. Last season it took me quite a bit of time translating my notes into a write up – I did enjoy it and when I have time I’ll do so.

For Week 17, I’ll only be recommending plays on games that have some meaning beyond just rivalries and playing for pride.

Let’s start by covering what games actually have some meaning.

In the AFC there are 4 games with some meaning:

Patriots @ Giants
What’s on the line?: New England going 16-0 on the season.

Steelers @ Ravens
Chargers @ Raiders

What’s on the line?: The #3 seed in the AFC bracket. If San Diego wins they get the 3 seed. If both teams lose San Diego also gets the 3 seed. There is about a 14% chance Pittsburg gets the 3 seed which would require a win plus a Chargers loss (unlikely).

Even with a small losing week last week, -1.25 units, its unfortunate that this season is coming to an end. We’re left with just two more regular season weeks left and I historically don’t pick many games in Week 17’s (only ones that have something real on the line). Anyways, its been a great season. I’m a bit early this week with my NFL week 13 picks and prediction posts, but I’m more than ready to move on after a brutal weekend. College ball is usually my best sport, although this week it cost me and my free picks. Last weeks NFL free picks were also came in at a loss, dropping 1.08% (1.08u) after a 2-2 week. My 2 losses were not even close, I got totally blown out on them. Heading into week 13 the overall 2007 NFL YTD record is still great at 35-19 for +14.29 units of profit, this is 64.81% straight on win/loss and 63.66% based on weight. This week we’ll look to move forward in the right directions.
