I’m back! Last year was a great football season and I’m planning to have just as good of a season this year. I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I will be posting my picks for free again this season. The bad news, I won’t be giving many detailed write up, at least not till deeper into the season if at all. I’ve got 5 vacations planned the over the next few months and am moving to Vegas November 1 right in the middle of these vacations. Perhaps later in the season I’ll have more time, but for now I’ll be posting just my picks. Last season it took me quite a bit of time translating my notes into a write up – I did enjoy it and when I have time I’ll do so.

About units this year:
About Units:
1 unit will be my smallest bets this year. In the past I used to do the 0.5 and 0.75 unit type thing. So, 1.5 units does not have as much value as it did last year when those were huge edges. Anything 2.5 units or over will be rare but there will be a few.

Okay let’s get to the picks:

2008 College Football Week One Picks

Thursday Games:

Troy -6, lets get on this one early. 1.65 units to win 1.5 units.

Buffalo -3 : Big play here 3.15 units to win 3 units.

Oregon State -3, I love this play. Not as much as I love Buffalo but we’re going with 2.67u to win 2.5 to win 2 units..

Friday’s Games

All I like Friday is Rice. Standard 1.65 to win 1.5 on Rice -3.5 or best line available.

Saturday’s Games: I like but don’t love a handful of bets on Saturday, these will all be 1.5 unit plays.

Utah +3 Risking 1.5 units To Win 1.5 units
Clemson -4 Risking 1.54 units 1.5 units
Washington State +7 Risking 1.57 units To Win 1.5 units
Virginia +20 Risking 1.68 unts to win 1.5 units
FLORIDA ATLANTIC +24.0 1.65 units to win 1.5 units

3 Team Teaser Risking 1.5 units to win 1.8 units
So Mississippi -2.5
Boston College -1.5
Missouri -1
Sunday:
Kentucky +3.5 1.03 to win 1 unit

Monday:
UCLA +7.5 1.06 to win 1 unit
Fresno State +5.5 1.13 to win 1 unit.

There will be no add on plays this week, no need to keep an eye out for them ?

Good luck!

Jim
