The first game I like today is Michigan State at home over Pittsburgh U.

Michigan State always shows up big in these nationally televised games. This is a much improved team this year that is starting to make skeptics believe they are for real this season. I see them running all over the Panthers here. 10.5 points is a ton to lay but I’m going with it. The Spartans win this game by 2-3 touchdowns.

The next game of interest to me is the Irish heading the Big House. I have 10 wins and just 2 losses on the season and both my losses were backing these two teams last week. The square in me says to avoid these nemesis teams this week but the sharper side of me loves a play on this game.

The media is making this game so huge but come on, we all knew Notre Dame was going to start the season 0-2 and go to Michigan and lose this week. The thing we did not see coming was Michigan losing any of its first 3 games and here they are 0-2 heading into week 3.

Last week I bought the Michigan Kool-Aid thinking this team would bounce back and come out strong. Thankfully I was able to get off that by taking Oregon in the 2nd half after seeing the season was clearly over for Michigan.

Notre Dame might suck but at least they had a chance to cover last week staying close to the spread all game. I’m not drinking anymore of that Michigan Kool-Aid this week. I’m taking the Irish with 10 points in this game as I don’t think a young college football team can over come the let down here, I see Michigan bombing once again. Yeah they might win the game against a weak Notre Dame team but I love those 10 points here. This line was at 6.5 to 7.5 all week and here comes all the square cash pouring in today. I think Notre Dame is the correct play here.

USC gets their first major test of the season this week on the road heading into Cornhuskers territory. Is this really a test though, I mean Nebraska looked pretty weak at Wake while squeaking out a 3 point win and a lot folks, outside of Nebraska of coarse, are questioning this teams top 25 rating. USC is sitting at the top the charts ranked #1 and has had a week off to rest and prepare for this game. The fact is though that you can not ignore how well Nebraska has defended their home turf in these big games. Honestly USC has done nothing yet this season to prove themselves.
I expected this line to be -6.5 and maybe -7 on USC and at that line I probably would of bet them. Getting this line up to +10 on Nebraska is just way to tempting to me to go the other way.

Boston College @ Georgia Tech
I’m really looking forward to watching this game. These are two teams that are for the most part over rated and both really deserve their top 25 rating. I like Georgia Tech to win this game out right because of home field advantage and the superior defense. I think Boston College’s offense is potent enough though to keep them in this game and they might even have a chance to win it in the end.
I think the points are huge here, this game has a good enough chance to be decided by a FG or a TD. I’m going to buy a half point here at the best price I can find it and go with Boston College +7.5
